SCIOTO COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS

Scioto County Agricultural Society

The Scioto County Agricultural Society is the governing body behind everything that happens at the fairgrounds. Made up of elected board members, associates, and dedicated volunteers, the Agricultural Society oversees the annual county fair, manages the fairgrounds facilities, supports 4-H and junior fair programs, and works to preserve agriculture as a cornerstone of life in Scioto County.

The Junior Fair Board showcases the dedication of our youth, while the Agricultural Society works behind the scenes to ensure the fair continues to thrive. From setting budgets and managing vendor contracts to maintaining buildings and planning fair week logistics, this is the team that keeps it all running.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Get Involved

Strong communities don't happen by accident. If you care about agriculture, youth development, and the future of Scioto County, there's a place for you here.

BECOME AN ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Associates support local agriculture and community programs while learning the ins and outs of how the Agricultural Society operates. It's the first step toward full board membership. Associates are eligible to be voted on by the board as active members of the Scioto County Agricultural Society with a history of service to the board.

BOARD MEMBERSHIP

After serving as an associate for two years, members become eligible for election to the full board. Board members attend regular meetings, serve on committees, and help guide the organization's direction. Eligibility requirements are outlined in the bylaws.

VOLUNTEER

Looking for a way to help without taking on a formal role? Volunteers are always needed, especially during fair week. Help with setup, parking, gate operations, or special projects. Every hand makes a difference.

SPONSOR (OPPORTUNITIES IN DEVELOPMENT)

The Agricultural Society is exploring sponsorship opportunities for businesses and organizations that want to partner in supporting local agriculture, youth programs, and community events. Details are still being finalized, but we welcome inquiries from anyone interested in getting involved.
